A nice balance of sellers and buyers
We represent both sellers and buyers.... we generally have about the same number of closings for buyers as sellers. That's unusual in Real Estate, where most real estate trainers preach that agents should focus on getting "listings", and even avoid seeking business from buyers. Not us!
Our goal is to have you feel that you're our only client
When we're talking to you on the phone, you'll have our full attention. We had "call waiting" for about 12 hours once, and immediately disconnected it. We felt that it sent the message to whomever we're talking to that "you're not as important" as someone else. What that means, though, is that if we're on the phone, you'll get our answering machine... so be sure to leave a detailed message with your phone number.
Having stated our goal, it's important for you to know that we are busy, and have averaged about one sale every 10-20 days. The typical agent in our market averages on sale every 3 months (really!) Here are the advantages to you of having a very productive Realtor on your side:
Expertise in corporation relocation and referrals
We've been fortunate to be able to help lots of folks moving here from all over the United States. Our relocation buyers came here from all over the country - from Las Vegas, Nevada; Golden, Colorado; Lake Oswego, Oregon; Rye, New York; and even Anchorage, Alaska. Not everyone is from out of state - one first time home buyer couple is buying a home just a block from the Thousand Oaks home their family has lived in for 30 years!
We're not all things to all people
We've learned that we can't be all things to all people, and so we don't try to be. We work particulary well with detail oriented folks (engineers, scientists, attorneys, etc.) who demand and appreciate our attention to detail. Most of the home buyers and sellers we meet with love our services, are delighted with our communication skills, and respect the job we do for them.... and some don't. When that happens, we simply refer them to an agent who better suits their personality.
Trust your instincts, your judgment, and in "the force"
We counsel our clients to trust their instincts when buying or selling a home. If it doesn't feel right, don't try to rationalize a purchase or sale - you simply won't be happy with the results. When it feels like the right thing to do, I guarantee you'll know it. We'll be your Obi-wan Kenobe to help you "trust in the force" of real estate.
Buyers and sellers with unusually varied backgrounds
Our home buyers have unusually varied backgrounds - they are scientists at Lawrence Berkeley Labs, police officers, pediatricians, software engineers, pizza restaurant owners, attorneys, dental assistants, tax preparers, and even Olympic Gold Medalists! They had several things in common - they're nice people who wanted to buy the best home possible in pleasant neighborhoods, and almost all came to us via the Internet or were referred to us by their friends, parents, or family Realtors!
