What top three topics would you like to see discussed during rotating round table sessions?

Would you be willing to lead a round table discussion group?
If so, on what topic?

What format would you like to see the Extravaganza learning sessions take, i.e., panel, round table, individual "Best Idea" presentations, etc?

Here's some of the ideas already suggested:

Other ideas, anyone?textfield = Updates on products (i.e. digital cameras, laptops, etc.)
Training on programs
More advertising sources
Personal Assistants
How we can stage a large event?
Trends coming...not just our ideas but some forward thinking tech types out side of the industry, then how can we spin it to our advantage use. e.g. Database managed websites vs HTML websites?
textfield = I think a portion of each day should be roundtables. We each have methods that we use that others may not be using.
Towards the end of the second day it would be great to have a time that we each share our best idea(s) that we gained from the event. This part could be fast-paced with each calling out the items. This would allow the great ideas from the roundtables to surface to everyone in attendance. Some of them may be "pearls" that the originating REALTOR might consider "old-hat".
I'd personally like to learn ways to draw more traffic still to my website. (Positioning at search engines, registering keywords, etc.) textfield = Something that replaces Top Producer I'm thinking Goldmine. Also the ability to get together and share ideas for more time than just a dinner.
I was lucky to be invited to Bill Barrett's Top 50 at the NAR show where all 50 of us brought 50 copies of what we did all year to share with each other. Bill walked away with a copy of what everyone was doing as did each of us.
Topics:
Marketing ideas that generate repeat/referral business among past clients and other realtors
Effectively using virtual assistantstextfield = round table with everyone having 15 minutes to share as you described in a previous email
textfield = I personally get so much out of round table discussions, marketing and easier ways to do our business. Technology what's hot and what's not. textfield = Round tables with one person at each table keeping on track with a specific topic suggested.
Lots of mini sessions with opportunity to get more hands on help from expert in area.
Panels of agents with Allen or someone like him to be moderator.
I would be willing to be a panel moderator also.
We don't need any paid speakers
I could teach tricks of using a palm pilot.textfield = I would be happy to attend a meeting if it ends up being in Florida around the 21st. Tampa-Orlando would be ideal for me. I would be happy to be there and just enjoy whatever the format is that you decide. I am not interested in Goldmine and would not wish to attend if that was the focus. Thank you for asking!textfield = Want--Small discussion groups.
Want--Breakout of topics of interest.
Want to learn everything!! This group is so special that they always have so many ideas.
textfield = 1-hour sessions dedicated to specific topics and maybe one longer session with a panel formattextfield = I left several blanks above because I don't have a preference.
For the Cyberstar gathering, I think we have enough to share among ourselves that we don't need an outside speaker.
Since there's a division between those interested in Goldmine and those not, perhaps a Goldmine class could be an option for the 2 days before the Cyberstar gathering.
Your form is great, Ira, and thanks again for all your work in this venture.
sharing/best tips, etc.; then maybe 1/2 -1 full day learning a skill/product/software; rest of the time just getting to know each other.textfield = Would like round tables. Would like discussion groups. Would like everyone to bring material that works for them.
Do not want a panel format. Don't really want vendors.
Want to learn as much as possible about technology. Would like ideas of what everyone is using, what works, what doesn't work. Would like to share ideas on what works well in technology to improve speed & efficiency in working with clients.
textfield = Somewhat structured...perhaps GoldMine classes...some type of an expanded (a full morning or full afternoon)
CyberStar Panel with perhaps an open "Q&A" for a portion of the time... & of course - networking opportunities
thru social gatherings.
I would like to work on my "complete picture". Outline what I am currently using (systems) and focus on areas
where I need improvement and develop a plan that puts together all of the "parts" for my market
circumstances.
textfield = Goldmine
textfield = Some structure but with the ability to extensively interact with each other. I want to share and hear ideas with everyone. textfield = Format desired: Each participant to share specific ideas and concept of what works for their business to make their business grow.
Format don'ts: A stream of vendor presentations of products
Learn: Tools to automate my business for grater profit

textfield = Real networking on marketing, prospecting,
Maybe round tables where everyone can be active and part of members change to different tables to keep things fresh.textfield = perhaps a dinner out Friday or night one of travel... relax unwind, get to know each other better.
am next day... have Alan outline current efforts and programs of Cyberstars
have the best of cyberstar preferred products/system shared graphically
have small groups for any particular product, mini training.
lunch, 2 hours to eat and to deal with any calls and perhaps take a break... kick in afternoon with a vendor perhaps sharing product...
might even be fun to find a local company that ideally is using tech and to do a field trip!
a few thought for you! Thanks for efforts
textfield = Maybe one day of round table discussions which last about 1 to 1.5 hours each and then folks pick a different table/topic. I have seen this work very effectively for another group that meets once a year and usually has somewhere between 75 and 100 people.
I want to learn more about all aspects of using technology to increase my market share.
textfield = I want to see what gurus like Ira Serkes do to attract and conduct business through technology. I'd like the opportunity to see samples of their work and then have question/answer/comment sessions about implementing and tweaking systems.
Everyone gets 15 minutes of fame, with some people getting 30 minutes to talk. Free form discussions, two hours of "roundtable" discussions with different topics.
No featured speakers - just having lots of cyberstars share their ideas!textfield = At this juncture, I am really not interested in changing my database operation. Like Rob, I have spent so many years and so much money setting up my Top Producer, that I shudder to think of going through the whole thing again. I also (knock on wood) am not having much of any problems with the system. Our networking guys in the company I work for back it up every day and do troubleshooting for us. That would mean they would also have to learn a new system. I love the idea of a CyberStar gathering, however. Count me in. Just not somewhere cold.
Thanks! Dianne Davis
textfield = Main purpose for our team is Goldmine training
textfield = 2 days for training (Goldmine) would be good and then 2 days of fun whether it's beach or skiing would make it great!
textfield = perhaps a dinner out Friday or night one of travel... relax unwind, get to know each other better.
am next day... have Alan outline current efforts and programs of Cyberstars
have the best of cyberstar preferred products/system shared graphically
have small groups for any particular product, mini training.

|||||||| What I want the CS Gathering to be like
SOCIAL EVENTS
Thursday Evening 7 PM Blue Man Group, followed by no host gathering
Friday Evening No Host Dinner for us to get to meet one another
Saturday Evening Whatever (I'm leaving Saturday myself)
Fri/Sat - Everyone gets "15 minutes of fame" (name copied from another group) to talk about whatever they think people will be interested in. If you have more to say. Bring enough handouts or CD's to give to each person. Perhaps 2 hours of 15 minute increments, then one hour of 1/2 hour round tables or discussions. No vendors, just geek-to-geek, talking belly-to-belly and cpu-to-cpu
Topics??? I'll probably set up another web site for that.
Anarchy in the class - so unless someone is particularly annoying (sit down, IRA), people can pipe up with questions and have lots of give and take. Did I mention that I have anarchists who fought in the Abraham Lincoln Brigade again Franco in my family?<p>

SETUP
U Shaped table setup
Overhead projector at the open part of the U.. and a screen in front
Perhaps a multicomputer switch so that several notebooks can be hooked up and selected by switching the switch. Minimizes setup and downtime between presentations
Room with lots of plugs and extension cords
High speed internet access for both days... only one DSL or Cable Line needed, because I'd also like...
Router and Hub (or Switch) for 32 people to plug in ethernet cables (10/100 Base T would be nice).... and enough long ethernet cables for us all to reach the hub (does anyone recall the total overall length of an ethernet network?). Router set up with DCHP protocol so we just plug and play and compulsively check email (speak for yourself, Ira). Alternative could be wireless setup, but then each computer would have to be configured with a wireless card or airport... at a much higher overall price. Lots of cable ties so we don't trip over the wires.
Intranet site already set up so that each of us can upload files and presentations to the intranet (or perhaps a CD Burner or someone inspired to burn CD's afterwards) The Intranet site (or simply a web site) should have sufficient capacity for lots of presentations (perhaps 100 Meg???)
My suggestion.... Allen purchase the router, hub, ethernet cables (I'm sure you have overhead projector) and get reimbursed for the cost over one or two cyberstar gatherings. My guess is that the cost would be about $3-400 total
